We are currently seeking a Associate to support our Real Estate Investment Banking (REIB) team as part of our Capital Markets Group in Seattle, WA. The Real Estate Investment Banking team provides capitalization strategies for both debt and equity across all asset types, primarily focusing on the Pacific Northwest including Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. The REIB originates and structures debt and equity solutions for construction, acquisition, and refinance including senior loans, sub-debt, mezzanine, etc. from banks, life companies, debt funds, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA. Equity including but not limited to preferred equity and JV equity in all forms, GP, LP, Co-GP. Advisory services include loan/note sales, distressed asset services, loan workouts & modifications and advisory services.
The Group provides investment brokerage, advisory and investment banking services to corporations, institutions, public companies, fund managers, financial institutions and property developers.
Responsibilities:
Relationship manager and primary point of contact for debt and equity capital relationships when placing requests working closely with the Managing Director.
Lead production support and execution team comprised of analysts, associates, and marketing/design for Offering Memoradum and Confidendential Financing Memoranda
Write memorandums and proposals for new or existing assignments/pursuits
Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables
Perform complex financial analyses with minimal supervision, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses and manage analyst and associate teams
Prepare monthly articles for newsletters and periodic research pieces for special events and presentations
Support the Seattle Real Estate Investment Banking team in pursuing new business and preparing financing packages across the Pacific Northwest.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in coursework in accounting, finance, economics and/or real estate, and excellent academic credentials
5-7 years of work experience in Finance or Real Estate is required
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
Excellent written and oral communication skills (applicant will need to submit previous work product)
Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software and advanced internet research capabilities is required
Ability to work independently and within a team on a wide variety of projects
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
Ability to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis given varying team requirements
Advanced understanding of real estate fundamentals, economic metrics, and research processes
Proficiency with Argus valuation software is not required but a working knowledge is strongly preferred
