PMO Manager (Deputy)
Support project managers in proposal development and solution offering / crafting
Manage and maintain PMO processes associated with SOW definition, resource staffing, and project governance (communication, escalation, product dependency, support, etc.)
Apply management best practices such as succession planning, member performance reviews, and finance management.
Provide project management relief and support for project managers during vacations, escalations or critical project activities.
Engage customer as project manager as needed to help with capacity mitigation. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Responsible for effective application of our methodology and enforcement of project standards.
Support project managers with regard to minimizing our exposure and risk on projects.
Define and manage project documentation standards ensure they are complete, current, and implemented appropriately.
Work closely with project managers and operations manager regarding reporting of hours and expenses against projects.
Standardize forecast v. actual budget #s process to identify project risks (technical and non-technical) and manage or escalate accordingly.
Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
Work with PMs to continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Build a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.
Coordinate post project retrospectives with project managers.
Coordinate PM onboarding and training activities.
Preferred Requirements:
Eight (8) years of progressive Project Management experience managing full lifecycle Software Development projects.
Consulting industry experiences or background (including portfolio management).
Understanding of Web Services technologies, including SOAP, REST and related standards.
Experience working in an Agile delivery model.
Knowledge of rich media and content management.
Program management experience managing multiple PMs and cross functional teams.
Prior experience of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling complex cross-vendor projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must!
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Keen attention to detail across all aspects of a project.
Understanding of Project management concepts.
Proficiency in MS Project or other Planning tools.
Bachelor's degree.

Core Responsibilities:
- Understands the scope of programs as defined by the business requirements and budget process. Participates in key planning milestones.
- Identifies, confirms, and obtains participation from required cross-functional teams. Works with the other team members and Strategic Business Initiative to do this effectively.
- Builds program plans and maintains program record. Works with the core team to identify and schedule all the work for end-to-end deployment
required to fulfill program scope. Identifies and manages program critical path, being mindful of upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Facilitates the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteria for the program with key stakeholders and core team. Works with resource leadership to obtain and assign resources to the program plan within the Clarity record.
- Supports the budget and resource forecasting process.
- Analyzes areas of risk to avoid risky activities by identifying and managing critical paths and risk areas. Establishes contingency plans and identifies trigger events and assumes responsibility for initiation corrective actions. Escalates early to SBI to determine when to engage senior management.
- Works with leadership and core team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to balance scope, time, and costs.
Ensures proper documentation.
- Tracks and manages the program schedule and upstream and downstream dependencies. Analyzes the actual performance against the plan and makes
adjustments consistent with plan objectives. Works with Strategic Business Initiative to assist in action item resolution and track completion. Ensures program milestones are accomplished and ensures overall committed timelines are met. Documents all major plan changes in scope, approach, and date delivery.
- Communicates updates on major milestomes and keeps all stakeholders informed of progress and issues. Identifies and manages proposed changes to program parameters
- Monitors and ensures quality of program deliverables. Works with core team and key field resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies, and tools to support the implementation of programs in the field through trials and controlled customer deployments.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
