Color & Design Regional Manager Overview
Our commercial color designers help customers choose the perfect paint colors for any project—from hotels to new homes to office buildings to health care and senior living. They offer design services with an eye for the occupied space and how color interacts with furniture, window treatments, flooring and accessories. Every Color & Design Specialist brings their own style while listening to and understanding the customers’ voice.
Key objectives of this role:
• Organize, plan and execute trade show presentations, providing color training and color trends to prospects and to PPG store and sales colleagues.
• Support architectural reps by conducting joint calls and CEU presentations for firms and specifiers.
• Hold leadership position in at least one local chapter of one or more of the following professional organizations: ASID, IIDA, and NKBA.
• Call on commercial interior designers to secure color spec share.
Tracking projects status through Construct Connect is key.
• Have the ambition to solidify as a subject matter expert on color theory, relationship of color and human behavior/interaction, and customer color schemes and palettes.
Working remotely, this individual will have operations responsibilities to provide training, mentoring,coaching, inspiration, leadership and PLPs to a regional team. Other performance responsibilities will be directed by the National Sales Manager. Company vehicle will be provided.
Ideal candidate would live in or near: Seattle, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston or Chicago.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in interior design degree or related.
Eight years of experience in commercial design including color consulting.
Previous relevant experience managing, training, inspiring and leading a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the paint/coatings industry or sales.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop /Illustrator.
Social media expertise.
Schedule flexibility as your hours may extend onto weekends or evenings and regional travel can be extensive.
Active participation in at least one local chapter of one or more of the following organizations: ASID, IIDA, NKBA.
Witty and engaging, your verbal exchanges must generate excitement.
